History
For all the years of Ukraine’s independence there have been radical changes in the form of ownership of many enterprises, a significant increase in the number of employees in the private sector. There are employers that aim at the long term outlook, creating favourable conditions for the production of domestic products, increasing the competitiveness of enterprises, social responsibility of businesses to workers and the society.
There is a need to establish common rules for all, which would provide an opportunity to address the issues facing individual sectors and the Ukrainian economy as a whole.
The joining of efforts of owners and the delegation of some of their social and labour powers to associations of employers allows them to represent their interests at the national level, to address common issues, to adequately respond to social demands of the state and the expectations of citizens.
In order to ensure the full participation of domestic employers in the establishment of harmonious relations of Ukrainian businesses with the Government and workers, the owners of the largest financial and industrial groups in Ukraine, which employ more than 300 thousand workers, decided to establish the Confederation of Employers of Ukraine.
